Bathroom Renovations
Full renovations and updates, waterproofed properly
Laundry Renovations
A good laundry makes everyday jobs easier. We plan the bench space, storage and machine spaces, then waterproof, tile and fit it out properly.
In short
Unitex Building & Construction Group renovates laundries across Melbourne, from full laundry rooms to compact laundries in a cupboard. We plan the bench space, storage and spaces for your machines, waterproof and tile the wet areas, then install cabinetry, the tub and tapware, with plumbing and electrical work by licensed trades.
What’s included
Your written quote lists exactly what’s included for your home. A typical job covers:
Ideas
Most laundries are small, so every bit of space counts. These are common ways to make one work harder.

Cost factors
We don’t publish one-size-fits-all prices, because two jobs that sound the same can be very different. These are the things that move a quote up or down.
Moving it to a new spot means new plumbing and drainage, and sometimes ventilation.
Tall cupboards, drawers and benchtops add the most to the price, and to the usefulness.
More floor and wall area means more waterproofing and tiling.
An inset tub in a benchtop costs more than a freestanding one.
Every job is quoted in writing, so you know the scope and price before work starts.
Questions

Yes, in parts. Laundries are wet areas under the building code: the floor must be water resistant (and waterproof where there’s a floor waste), and the joint where the tub meets the wall and the tap penetrations must be waterproof. We do this before tiling.
Often, yes, if water supply and drainage can reach the new spot. We check this on the site visit and explain what’s involved.
Yes. A laundry behind doors, with machines under a bench or stacked, works well in apartments and smaller homes, as long as there’s drainage and ventilation.
