This policy explains how Unitex Building & Construction Group (“we”, “us”) handles personal information. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us:

  • your name, phone number and email address
  • the suburb or address of your project
  • details of the work you’re planning, and any plans or photos you send us
  • messages you send us by the contact form, email or text.

We don’t ask for payment details through this website.

Why we collect it

  • to reply to your enquiry
  • to prepare a quote
  • to carry out and manage work you’ve engaged us for
  • to meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for marketing by other companies.

Who we share it with

Only where it’s needed for your project or required by law, for example with the trades, suppliers, designers, engineers or building surveyor working on your job, or with our professional advisers. Some of the services we use to run the business, such as email, may store information outside Australia.

This website

  • The site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and speeds it up. Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to do this.
  • We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are viewed and how quickly they load. Cloudflare says it doesn’t collect or use visitors’ personal data (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
  • Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the map on our service areas page is provided by Google Maps. When your browser loads these, Google receives technical information such as your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
