Kitchen Renovations
A new kitchen is the room you’ll use most. We help you plan the layout and storage, then coordinate the cabinetry, benchtops, plumbing, electrical and finishes so it all comes together properly.
In short
Unitex Building & Construction Group renovates kitchens across Melbourne. We help you plan the layout, storage and appliances, remove the old kitchen, arrange plumbing and electrical work by licensed trades, then install cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks and appliances, and finish with painting and a final clean. One team coordinates the whole job.
What’s included
Your written quote lists exactly what’s included for your home. A typical job covers:
Before you choose
A few decisions shape everything else in a kitchen, so it pays to make them before cabinetry is ordered.

Cost factors
We don’t publish one-size-fits-all prices, because two jobs that sound the same can be very different. These are the things that move a quote up or down.
Moving the sink, cooktop or oven means moving plumbing, gas or power.
Board finishes, drawer systems and the amount of cabinetry make a big difference.
Laminate, engineered stone alternatives, natural stone and timber all differ in price and lead time.
Integrated and larger appliances may need custom cabinetry or extra power.
Opening up to a living area may need an engineer and a building permit.
Old wiring or damaged floors uncovered during strip-out need fixing. Homes built before 1990 may contain asbestos, which must be identified before strip-out.
Every job is quoted in writing, so you know the scope and price before work starts.
Questions
Can’t see your question? Get in touch and we’ll answer it directly.
Often, yes. If the wall is load-bearing it needs an engineer’s design and usually a building permit. We check this before you commit to the layout.
Before the cabinetry is finalised. Cabinets are made around exact appliance sizes, so changing an appliance late can mean changing the cabinets.
Usually, yes. An electrician checks whether your switchboard and supply can handle an induction cooktop, and the gas line is disconnected and capped by a licensed gasfitter.
It depends mostly on cabinetry and benchtop lead times. We give you a timeline with your quote and plan the work so you’re without a kitchen for as short a time as possible.
